Our Policies

Please take a moment to review our policies. All patrons are agreeing to the following policies by utilizing our services.

APPOINTMENTS:

Please understand that PAWSH grooms all pets on an appointment schedule. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment you may be asked to reschedule. No shows, last minute cancellations (less than 48 hours’ notice), late arrivals (more than 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment), or continual re- scheduling are subject to a $55.00 fee per pet, which will be added to your next appointment. We understand there are emergency situations and will work with you, but not on a continual basis. Please be respectful of our time as we are a by-appointment business.

PICK UP:

PAWSH includes 60 min of free daycare for all grooming services. Pets picked up after this time period will be charged our normal daycare prices for any additional hours. All pets must be picked up by closing time, any pet not picked up by closing time will be charged a $15/ 15 min fee until pet is picked up. If you are more than 30 min late picking up your pet, your pet may be checked into our boarding facility and will not be available for pickup until normal business hours. If this occurs, you will be charged a $30 late fee plus an overnight fee of $65.00 per pet for every night that your pet(s) is boarded before pick-up.

CO-MINGLED PETS:

By using our grooming, daycare or boarding service, you understand that pets in this facility are allowed to co-mingle. Safety is our number one concern and every effort is made to keep any incidents from occurring. Any pets that show aggression will be kenneled and will not be allowed to participate in our cage free portion of PAWSH. If you wish for your pet to NOT be allowed with other pets, please opt out. By opting in, you understand and agree to pay for any veterinarian expenses that may occur due to the nature of co-mingling pets, regardless of which pet is at fault.

PHOTOGRAPHS:

You agree that your pet may be videotaped, photographed, and recorded. PAWSH shall be the exclusive owner to the results and all proceeds of such videos, photography, and recordings with the rights, throughout the world, an unlimited number of times in perpetuity, to copyright, to use and to license to others in any manner. You further agree that your pet may be used in any and all media and in the promotion, advertising, sale, publicizing and exploitation of PAWSH.

SATISFACTION:

Your satisfaction is very important to us. Please carefully look over your pet when picking them up from our salon. If you are unhappy or have any concerns for any reason, due to the grooming of your pet at PAWSH please inform us with-in 48 hours from the time that you pick up your pet from our salon. PAWSH will make every effort to correct any issues that you may have as long as they are reported with-in our 48 hour period.

VACCINATIONS:

For the safety of all our guests, all dogs must be current on all vaccinations. You understand that PAWSH is not responsible for any communicable diseases that your pet(s) may contract before, during, or after their visit to PAWSH. By signing this agreement, you verify that your pet(s) are current on the following: 1. Rabies Vaccination 2. Distemper/Parvo Vaccination 3. Bordetella (kennel cough) (optional)

HEALTH AND MEDICAL ISSUES

Boarding and Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for a senior pet or pet with health problems and can expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current one during or after their groom or stay. PAWSH will make the grooming and boarding experiences as relaxing as possible for your pet and will watch for any signs of discomfort. If at any time your pet should need immediate Veterinary treatment during their stay at PAWSH, we will do our best to contact you as soon as possible. You agree that PAWSH has permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment for your pet(s) if deemed necessary until we are able to reach you. It is agreed that all expenses for Veterinary care will be covered by the pet's owner. In the unfortunate circumstance that a pet passes away while in the care of PAWSH they will be taken directly to the veterinarian until the owner may be reached.

AGGRESSIVE and DANGEROUS PETS:

You MUST inform PAWSH if your pet(s) bite(s), has bitten, or is aggressive to people, other pets or specific grooming procedures. PAWSH reserves the right to refuse or stop services for any pet at any time before, during, or after the grooming process, and/or charge an Aggressive Dog Fee in addition to the regular grooming charge. You understand that a muzzle may be used if necessary. Muzzling will not harm your pet, and protects both the pet and the groomer. You understand that if your pet bites any person or pet, and proof of your pet’s current Rabies Vaccination cannot be verified by a Veterinarian, your pet may be impounded by Animal Control for the required Quarantine period. You agree to be responsible for all charges that may be incurred due to non- verifiable rabies vaccinations, including but not limited to any hospital/veterinarian costs from the bitten subject.

HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT:

By signing this contract, you agree that you are the legal owner of this pet(s) and you (or your agent) agree to hold PAWSH its owners, operators, employees, officers and directors harmless from any damages or claims arising from any condition of the undersigned pet(s), either known or unknown to PAWSH. It is also further understood and agreed the terms of this agreement can change at any time, without notice, and will overwrite any and all prior signed contract or releases. I have read and agree to the policies of PAWSH for my pet(s). A copy is available upon request for your records.

MAT REMOVAL:

Pets with matted coats need extra attention during their grooming session. If PAWSH finds that a pet is too matted to continue with normal grooming then we will contact you to determine the best course of action (NO further action will be taken until PAWSH has been in contact with you). De-matting is charged at a rate of $15 per 15 minutes with a minimum charge of $15. Brushing out tightly matted coats is painful for your pet and can cause brush irritation, very sore skin, and thin/bald areas in the coat. Removing/shaving a heavily matted coat includes the risk of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles and skin folds trapped in the mats. Heavily matted pets may be charged an additional fee. The after effects of mat removal can include skin redness, itchiness, self-inflicted irritation or abrasions. You agree to hold PAWSH harmless from any adverse effects from either de-matting or shaving. Prevention is the best defense against matting by scheduling regular grooming appointments.

EAR HAIR REMOVAL:

Plucking the hair on the inside of the ear canal can be performed by request with any grooming service at no additional charge. As either plucking / not plucking may result in complications (such as ear infections) PAWSH cannot be held liable for any resulting complications due to your choice.
